An International workshop on photojournalism is being organized by Drik India at Nehru Children’s Museum, Kolkata from 6 February to 10 February, 2012 in collaboration with Oslo University College - Norway, Pathsala (South Asian Media Academy) - Bangladesh and Photo Circle – Nepal with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs ,Norway. The workshop is unique in itself in more than one way as it constitutes a course curriculum focusing on international reportage with the gracious presence of the highly acclaimed and much awarded Greg Marinovich as the facilitator and tutor. This is something that, in all probability, is happening for the first time in Kolkata. Greg Marinovich is a Pulitzer Prize and Leica Award winning South-African photographer of considerable global repute and is co-author of “The Bang Bang Club”, a non-fiction book on South Africa’s transition to democracy. His profile is enclosed along with this note.
Greg Marinovich will be assisted by Munem Wasif, a young but highly acclaimed photographer with too many feathers in his cap already, ncluding Prix Pictet International |
